Mechanical Engineer

Purpose of Position:
Provide mechanical and electrical engineering support focused on the selling phase of steam generation systems. 3+ years of applicable mechanical and electrical engineering experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales by answering direct engineering support requests and coordinating with internal departments to develop solutions (mechanical and electrical engineering related)
- Coordinate information gathering and analysis of customer’s steam and energy demands through Miura’s in-service efficiency study program
- Create and revise drawings for sales projects (boiler room layouts, mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.)
- Create and maintain official technical documentation (manuals, specifications, calculators, etc.)
- Support recurring training events for customers, representatives, and Miura personnel
- Assist with electrical design and troubleshooting of industrial boilers and related equipment (component selection, circuit design, etc.)
- Maintain product and installation compliance with government and other applicable agency regulations (ASME, UL, NFPA, NBIC, etc.)
- Perform other tasks as required
Position Requirements (knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
- 3+ years of applicable mechanical and electrical engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Ability to work in a small company and open work environment
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred:
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD
- Experience with NFPA 70, NEC
- Experience with ASME section 1 and section 8 code
- Experience with UL standards
- Experience with heat transfer and fluid mechanics
- Experience with combustion systems design and operation
