Miura Spotlight Series: John Manley
Name: John Manley
Location: Burleson, Texas
Miura Start Date: 2021
John Manley is a third-generation boiler maker. Since 2010 he ran his own mechanical division working on firetube boilers and knows the ins and outs of firetube boilers. Needless to say, as the world’s leader in modular on-demand steam boilers, Miura was eager to snag him and make him one of their own. John’s been a Technical Sales Representative for Miura’s South-Central Division since 2021 and he’s excited about the future of the company.
Because of his background, John has a deep understanding of firetube boilers. He knows the lingo and the headaches associated with owning and operating traditional firetube boilers. Especially the maintenance side of things. Firetube boilers are no stranger to manufacturing, but as more and more companies are realizing the benefits of going green and compact, John is able to help companies navigate their steam solutions from his very first-hand experience.
“Being a third-generation boiler maker, I know what to look for. I’ve been through the same problems they’ve been through,” John says. Firetube boilers, as we know, take up a massive amount of space, and they’re expensive to maintain. John has found that he bonds quickly with firetube operators because of his experience and is able to share with them his experience and how Miura boilers are a better and easier alternative than their current dated systems.
John believes that Miura is the answer when it comes to steam, especially in the manufacturing world. Coming from the firetube boiler world, he’s seen the struggles so many companies face, two, which Miura answers immediately – compact footprint and startup and shutdown time. These are needs that many manufacturing companies are in dire need of right now. Miura boilers are known for their compact size and their quick startup and shut down times, saving customers time and money.
Favorite thing about working for Miura: “Miura does a great job making a large company feel like family. Many of us are spread out, but there’s always this awesome team spirit here at Miura.”
Personal Hobbies: When John isn’t helping companies with their steam solutions, he’s playing golf or camping with his family.
