Miura Unveils New LX-Series Ultra-Low NOx Steam Boiler

Rockmart, GA — October 1, 2024
Miura America has introduced its latest innovation, the LXN-300SG-A, an ultra-low NOx steam boiler designed to significantly reduce emissions. This new model emits less than 5 ppm NOx, making it a standout in the industry for its environmental performance. What sets the LXN-300SG-A apart is its ability to achieve these reductions without relying on Flue Gas Recirculation (FGR) or Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, maintaining both efficiency and sustainability.

As air quality regulations become stricter across the country, particularly in non-attainment areas, industries are under increasing pressure to meet lower NOx emissions standards. Miura’s new boiler model offers a solution, providing clean energy compliance without the added complexity of after-treatment systems.

Adam Kellar, Engineering Division Manager at Miura, highlighted the importance of this advancement:
“We are excited to offer a boiler solution that provides environmental benefits without sacrificing efficiency or significantly increasing footprint. The LXN-300SG-A reflects Miura’s commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology in industries where clean energy is becoming essential for success.”

Compact Design Meets Industry Needs
Despite its powerful performance, the LXN-300SG-A maintains the compact footprint for which Miura is known. Compared to the existing LX-300 model, the new boiler is only 24 inches longer, making it suitable for facilities with limited space. It also integrates seamlessly into current systems, using the same BL-11 controller and LX-style burner element, ensuring an easy transition for customers.

Advanced Technology for Cleaner Emissions
The LXN-300SG-A’s sub-5 ppm NOx emissions are achieved through an optimized pressure vessel (PV) design and enhanced air/gas mixing. This combination improves combustion efficiency, reducing emissions at the source without the need for additional retrofitting or complex equipment.

Ideal for High-Regulation Industries
The new boiler is particularly suited for industries with strict emissions requirements, including food processing, healthcare, and manufacturing. Facilities in regions like California and Texas, where emissions standards are more stringent, will find the LXN-300SG-A to be a valuable asset in maintaining compliance while optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Specifications:

  • NOx Emissions: <5 ppm (adjusted to 3% O2)
  • Horsepower: 300 BHP
  • Fuel: Natural Gas
  • Size: Comparable to the LX-300SG(N), with a 24-inch length increase
  • Controller: BL-11
