Matt’s Boiler Journey

Matt began his career as a service technician in 1990 through an apprenticeship. By 1995, he was running his own mechanical contracting firm and had formed a partnership with Miura. Nearly 30 years later, Matt continues to apply his extensive steam expertise and dedication to customers throughout the Southeast. He is now the owner of Boiler Technologies Unlimited, based in Florida, and has recently achieved Miura Partner status, enhancing the steam solutions available to companies across the state.

Projects & Results

Over the years, Matt and his team have been entrusted with projects that require both scale and creativity. These challenges showcase their expertise in delivering effective and timely solutions.

  • Large Food Production Facility: Matt and his team completed a major boiler plant build-out that lasted nearly 10 months, reflecting the project’s size and scope. Their experience and meticulous planning allowed them to finish on schedule, providing the customer with a highly efficient modular steam system that improved operational uptime and achieved significant energy savings.
  • Healthcare Facility: In one hospital project, they were tasked with installing new boilers in a basement space with extremely limited access. This required innovative rigging and careful coordination. Ultimately, the system was integrated seamlessly into the existing infrastructure, delivering improved energy efficiency and long-term reliability.

The Future of Steam

Matt anticipates growing steam demand across various industries, including healthcare, hospitality, food and beverage, and laundry. In Florida, there is a particular need for skilled representatives and solid technical support—qualities that he delivers every day alongside Miura.

Beyond Boilers

Outside of work, Matt enjoys hunting, boating, and riding his UTV. As a proud grandfather of six granddaughters, family time is at the top of his list. Matt’s philosophy has always been simple:  work hard, play hard, and enjoy the ride.
